Massage Therapy

h

Our massage therapists are here to help you achieve and maintain wellness for life. At Dynamic Medical Rehabilitation, we tailor each massage treatment to the unique needs of the individual. Our massage therapists are experienced in treating everyday pain, relieving stress, and encouraging circulation for improved function and movement. Our massage practitioners can assist in auto injury recovery, while addressing chronic pain conditions and sports injuries with therapeutic massage.

Benefits of Massage

Massage and bodywork offer a wealth of physical and mental health benefits. On a physical level, massage can improve flexibility, reduce blood pressure, and restore proper fluid flow and circulation in the body. The mental benefits of massage include a reduction in mental stress, decreased irritability, improved focus, and improved sleep patterns. The emotional benefits of massage include reduced anxiety, enhancement of self-image, and an increase in feeling improved well-being.

Types of Massage

Deep Tissue

The goal of deep tissue massage is to get in contact with the deep layers of muscle and connective tissues to alleviate pain, improve flexibility and movement, and enhance circulation.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger point therapy or myofascial release is a therapy that targets sore, tight, irritated points in muscles. The massage therapist carefully searches for trigger points and uses specific compression techniques to release these areas, providing pain relief and a reduction in tension.

Visceral Manipulation

Visceral Manipulation uses very specific soft manual forces to stimulate normal mobility, tone, and motion of the internal organs and their connective tissues.

Sports Massage/Injury Recovery

Sports Massage/Injury Recovery treatments are designed to increase athletic performance. Most often, sports massage focuses on the muscles used by athletes, such as runners, who want a special focus on their legs and hips. Deep tissue massage techniques encourage increased blood flow and a reduction in soreness of stressed, overused, or fatigued muscle groups.

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, focused hands-on technique used to find and release restriction in the body’s fascia. Fascia is a thick layer of connective tissue which encompasses every organ, bone, and muscle, as well as the brain, spinal cord, and central nervous system.

Our Massage Therapists

Frank Harris, LMT

Frank has been in practice since 1996. Upon completion of Massage Therapy training at Aveda Institute he began his journey to learn more. Throughout this process, Frank gained the insight, knowledge, and expertise in massage therapy skill beyond muscle, bone, and ligament-focused treatment. Frank has learned that listening to the body is the most effective method in helping to resolve whatever the dysfunction may be for each individual. To give an analogy, pain is usually the fire alarm, but where is the fire that set off the alarm? Frank’s approach is to use his skill set, intuition, and experience in a gentle, noninvasive way to address the real cause of each patient’s health care issues.
